CNC 7-Axis Mill and Turn Machinist

Position Description

As a CNC 7-axis Mill/Turn Machinist you will be responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities:

  • Set up and operate CNC 7-axis Mill/Turn machines according to instructions and engineering drawings
  • Change tools and make offset adjustments
  • Interpret blueprint dimensions
  • Understand and follow machining policies and instructions (MI),QSR, ISO, SOP's work rules and safety guidelines
  • Meet schedules and maintain quality standards

Position Requirements

This position requires the following skills and attributes:

  • A minimum of 5 years work experience related to the set-up and operation of CNC Mill/Turn machines
  • Experience interpreting blueprint dimensions and using measuring tools
  • Working knowledge of MI's, QSR, ISO, SOP's, work rules and safety guidelines
  • Ability to read, write and speak in English
  • Strong interpersonal skills

 The following skills and attributes are preferred:

  • 5 or more years of experience with piece work
  • Experience with Mori Siki and Willemin mill/turn machines
