Position Description

As a Application Administrator, you will be responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities:

  • Within 30 days you will become familiar with Applied Medical ATS policies and procedures, become familiar with general application administration responsibilities
  • Within 60 days you will take on responsibility for various tasks directly related to applications/servers for which our team is responsible
  • Within 90 days you will expand on the responsibilities that you have taken on so far and begin to offer feedback to the team as to how we may improve our processes
  • Work with internal customers, project managers, and developers to create scope, requirements, and detailed designs to meet business needs through existing systems, or by implementing new systems
  • Develop strong understanding of the business process, workflows, and data requirements for each application
  • Develop strong understanding of application landscape, supporting infrastructure, and system integrations
  • Carry out administration tasks, including upgrades, deployments, architecture review/design and best practices
  • Provide support for production applications
  • Triage problems and resolve issues
  • Document technical specifications and other requirements to support each application
  • Provide training for certain applications and roles

Position Requirements

This position requires the following skills and attributes:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • 2+ Years experience implementing, configuring, deploying, and managing applications
  • Proficient with general database technologies
  • Familiar with modern software development technologies
  • Working knowledge of JavaScript is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment
  • Attention to detail
