Clean Room Maintenance Technician I

Position Description

As a Clean Room Maintenance Technician II, you will be responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities:

  • Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment
  • Familiar and able to follow clean room procedures
  • Troubleshoot and identify issues during scheduled maintenance requests
  • Follow all regulations, safety guidelines and maintenance tasks to meet specific requirements)
  • Assist with repairs and parts orders, and communicate any concerns to team leaders
  • Embrace a teamwork philosophy in order to influence the team to meet or exceed production and quality goals
  • Understand and follow Applied Medical's manufacturing instructions SOP's and QSR per training
  • Read and understand drawings and manuals.
  • Communicate effectively with production team members, team leaders, and engineers to ensure quality components

Position Requirements

This position requires the following skills and attributes:

  • Two to five years of maintenance experience including troubleshooting machinery
  • Knowledge in one or more of the following fields: Electronics, Electrical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic and Mechanical
  • Motivated, self-starter, and proactive team member
  • Flexibility to work in a 2nd and/or 3rd shift is required (Sunday - Thursday or Tuesday - Saturday)
  • Ability to work more than 8 hours a day, weekends and holidays as needed
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good hand-eye coordination
  • High school diploma, GED or 1 year of experience in a similar position


The following skills and attributes are preferred:

  • Experience with packaging machinery (Heat Sealers, and Form Fill Packaging Machines)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in maintaining equipment in a manufacturing environment
