Applied Medical is pleased to announce the expansion of our Applied Learning team with an opening for the position of Associate Learning Facilitator. As an Associate Learning Facilitator, you will work collaboratively with teams across the organization to design, develop, and implement learning solutions for in-person and virtual classroom instruction.


The Facilitation team provides development opportunities that enhance team member knowledge and skills through new team member onboarding, professional development, and leadership programs. These programs are conducted through instructor-led and virtual instructor-led classroom trainings. The team is responsible for researching, planning, designing, and implementing these programs. The team also prepares associated educational materials such as, but not limited to, job aids, participant workbooks, module summaries, and learning assessments that support course content.  They identify overall objectives for training and development and tailor learning content, design, and delivery to suit internal stakeholders.

Position Description

As an Associate Learning Facilitator, you will be responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities:

  • During your first 30 days, you will spend time learning and familiarizing yourself with departmental and organizational processes, systems, and procedures.
  • During the first 30 days, you will also immerse yourself in understanding Applied’ s culture by participating in Applied’ s training programs.
  • In the first 30 to 60 days, you will be exposed to and assist with course development, support/co-facilitate instructor led and virtual led workshops.
  • By the end of your first year, in collaboration with other Applied Learning team members, you will have assisted in the design, development, and implementation of various courses for both classroom and virtual formats and interface with cross functional teams on project delivery.
  • On an ongoing basis, you will assist in the development and maintenance of team processes and training programs by collaborating with team members.

Position Requirements

This position requires the following skills and attributes:

  • 1-2 years of eLearning/classroom training development experience
  • Critical thinking skills, a thirst for learning, and a natural tendency to ask the right questions to gather information
  • Enthusiastic team player
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner
  • Strong analytical skills, the ability to make quick decisions, and meticulous attention to detail
  • The ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure
  • Exceptional organization and implementation skills
  • Outstanding customer service skills
