UX/UI Designer Lead

The UX UI Designer Lead will have strong design and research experience as well as the ability to lead team members within the IT organization. You will be introduced to Applied Medical, our core philosophies, the medical device industry, and the products we manufacture. As a UX UI Designer Lead, you’ll focus on customer and employee strategies that explore opportunities to improve digital innovation, addressing user needs and designing digital experiences. The UX UI Designer Lead will exercise their strong ability to create user experience designs and prototypes to test ideas. They will also share knowledge and collaborate with team members to address ambiguous, complex problems and projects. The UX UI Designer Lead will work to motivate UX UI Designers and boost team morale. Also, they will communicate with team members about expectations and project specifications.

As a UX UI Designer Lead, you will be responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities:

• Standing as an example for their team in regard to work ethic
  
• Attending meetings with managers to update company leaders on the project or discussing technical requirements
  
• Communicate with team members about expectations and project specifications
  
• Work to motivate UX UI Designers and bring about win-win agreements within the team
  
• Create sub-teams based on team member strengths, weaknesses and chemistry, allowing for tasks to be completed faster
  
• Being familiar with what the product should look like and assist in designing the project that will bring it to life
  
• Create a range of low to high fidelity deliverables including but not limited to wireframes, visual interfaces and prototypes
  
• Collaborating with other designers and developers while making sure the interaction is getting recorded and addressed correctly
  
• Create the overall look and feel of a wide range of applications, websites and communication tools
  
• Produce UX, information architecture and visual design for company products across web, mobile, and a wide range of applications based on company needs
  
• Track and manage design tasks
  
• Work with other UX UI Designers to maintain design consistencies across different media platforms and materials
  

This position requires the following skills and attributes:

• Bachelor's degree in related field
• 3-5 years of design experience

• Ability to present designs and sell your solutions to various stakeholders

• Proficient in design tools like Figma & Adobe Creative Cloud
• Understanding of W3C Accessibility standards
• Knowledge of cross-platform browser compatibility restrictions and requirements
• Ability to collaborate with team members to continually improve processes
• Excellent attention to detail

• Experience working in an Agile development process
• Ability to work in a fast-paced growing environment and adapt to changing business requirements
