Position Description

As a Facilities/CAFM Business Analyst, you will be responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities:

  • Manage software-related projects and ensuring that business solutions are designed, developed, and implemented according to the business needs
  • Collaborate with business counterparts globally to ensure the successful implementation of projects, while achieving target service levels on various system change requests
  • Learn business processes and relevant software technologies, in order to participate in the development and implementation and new systems and solutions
  • Support business processes and maintain existing enterprise systems in Facilities
  • Interface with the Facilities department and teams within the organization to understand their needs, document requirements, and collaborate in the development, testing, and implementation of the solution
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications
  • Develop knowledge and skills in enterprise scale application design, development, and implementation of systems, such as SAP RE-FX and AutoCAD
  • Participate in software validation activities to ensure that software solutions are designed to specifications or as intended
  • Collaborate in the development of training materials related to Facilities Management
  • Configure and use a facilities management system (SAP RE-FX preferred or similar)
  • Design and Construction business processes
  • Understand of budget scheduling and construction projects
  • Full lifecycle activities and implementing user-friendly solutions
  • Understand strategic business needs and growth plans
  • Analyze the design of technical systems and business models
  • Manage requirements and practice effective scope management
  • Identify opportunities to automate processes and enhancing the quality of software products and services
  • Research, evaluate, and implement new business technology solutions
  • Design prototype solutions or mockups gain consensus on functional requirements
  • Design dashboards and reports as part of business solutions (Preferred BI experience)

Position Requirements

This position requires the following skills and attributes:

  • Degree in Computer Engineering, Business Administration or related field
  • 5+ years in an Information Technology related field
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills are required to act as a communication link between the internal team and other business units
  • Experience with any of the Facilities Management products, such as SAP RE-FX, Archibus, etc.
  • Experience with Space Management and Occupancy Planning
  • Proven experience with AutoCAD
  • Knowledge of campus facilities inventory database including room ownership, size, and usage
  • General knowledge of building construction and construction processes
