Applied Medical is pleased to announce the expansion of our Career Development  team with immediate openings for Recruiters on our Corporate and Engineering teams.  As a Recruiter, you will work closely with teams at our company headquarters in Rancho Santa Margarita, California to manage all aspects of the recruiting process. This process includes job requisition, talent mining, candidate qualification, and candidate offer and acceptance. Position responsibilities also include helping develop and maintain a competitive intelligence database using internal and external resources and working to strengthen and promote Applied Medical’s internal referral program.

Position Description

As a Recruiter, you will be responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities: 

  • Work closely with a wide variety of teams to deliver a pipeline of qualified candidates across multiple job requisitions
  • Recruit top talent candidates through a variety of methods including: job postings, LinkedIn, Boolean Operands, and other resources
  • Qualify, evaluate and interview candidates via email, phone screen, webcam, and in-person interviews
  • Work closely with hiring managers to create successful candidate profiles that aligns with company culture, experience requirements, and current applicant market
  • Handle 20-30 open requisitions while maintaining a pipeline of qualified candidates
  • Maintain an average time of 45 days to fill openings by creating a successful profile for the requisitions in your assigned group
  • Maintain open communication with team members and prospective candidates while delivering responses within 48 hours

Position Requirements

This position requires the following skills and attributes:

  • 2-5 years of full cycle recruiting experience
  • Extensive familiarity with web research techniques such as LinkedIn, job boards and progressive applicant tracking systems
  • Strong interviewing and candidate evaluation skills and experience
  • Must live within a commutable distance to the Applied Medical home office, or willing to relocate there, as this position is office-based
  • Must be a team player
  • An avid learner and critical thinker with a natural tendency to ask the right questions to gather information to enhance the search effort
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to make quick decisions with extreme attention to detail


The following skills and attributes are preferred:

  • Medical device or manufacturing recruiting experience
  • Proficiency using the iCIMS Applicant Tracking System
