Applied Medical is pleased to announce the expansion of our Applied Learning team with an immediate opening for the position of Associate Training Developer. As an Associate Training Developer, you will work collaboratively with teams across the organization to design, develop, and implement classroom and/or eLearning courses to serve the training needs of specific departments and the organization.

In the ever-developing world of technologies and processes, our team looks forward to supporting the growth and development of our technical teams by utilizing different adult learning styles and modalities. The Training Development team plays an integral part in developing and implementing training programs for existing team members and continuing education programs for cross functional teams across the organization. As an Associate Training Developer, you will be responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities:

• During your first 30 days, you will spend time learning and familiarizing yourself with departmental processes, systems, and procedures
• During the first 30 days, you will also immerse yourself in understanding Applied’s culture, our in-house manufacturing processes, and stakeholders
• In the first 60 to 90 days, you will be exposed to and assist with course development, support/co-facilitate in-person workshops led by our Subject Matter Experts, and interface with cross-functional teams to understand our customer needs
• By the end of your first year, in collaboration with other Applied Learning team members, you will have assisted in the design, development, and implementation of various courses for both classroom and online formats
• On an ongoing basis, you will assist in the development and maintenance of procedures, and training programs by collaborating with team members.

Additionally, you will be responsible for the following activities:

• Maintaining open lines of communication with our stakeholders, as well as with fellow team members in Applied Learning, to assist in the development of training programs
• Communicating with participants and Subject Matter Experts and tracking their progress and needs throughout the training process to provide a positive and immersive training experience
• Proactively communicate opportunities for improvement

This position requires the following skills and attributes:

• One to two years of eLearning/classroom training development experience
• Critical thinking skills, a thirst for learning, and a natural tendency to ask the right questions to gather information
• Enthusiastic team player
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner
• Strong analytical skills, the ability to make quick decisions, and meticulous attention to detail
• The ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure
• Exceptional organization and implementation skills
• Outstanding customer service skills

• College degree preferred
