Position Description

As a Project Assistant on the Maintenance team, you will be responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities:

  • Perform necessary administrative tasks in supporting Operational Maintenance pertaining to ordering, quote requests, writing purchase requisitions, coding, follow-through, filing, SAP data entry
  • Follow all MI's, QSR, ISO, SOP's work rules and safety guidelines and maintenance tasks to the specific requirements
  • Communicate effectively with production team members, team leaders, engineers and inspectors to ensure support in SOP and SAP systems
  • Assist with data entry, parts orders and communicating with leads and team leaders on any concerns
  • Embrace a teamwork philosophy in order to influence the team to meet or exceed production and quality goals

Position Requirements

This position requires the following skills and attributes:

  • Minimum of two to three years of administrative experience 
  • Experience with assisting in coordination for maintenance projects
  • Ability to research parts and vendors for machine and equipment
  • Good working knowledge of Outlook and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work in fast moving and quick changing environment
  • Capacity to work independently and in a team environment

Preferred

  • Knowledge of SAP
  • Experience working in a maintenance environment
