HVAC Preventative Maintenance Technician

Position Description

As a HVAC Preventative Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities:

  • Within the first 30 days, you will spend time learning and understanding Applied Medical's Quality Systems (QS) per training
  • Train with Team Leader and Senior Technicians, during normal business hours, Tuesday through Saturday
  • Understand and comply with safety rules and Company policies
  • Follow all MI's, QSR, ISO, SOP's work rules and safety guidelines & maintenance tasks to the specific requirements
  • Perform daily monitoring and scheduled maintenance accompanied by fellow team member
  • Embrace a teamwork philosophy to influence the team to meet or exceed production and quality goals
  • By the end of the first 60 days, you will be able to travel from site to site within the Applied Campus (Rancho Santa Margarita, Lake Forest and Irvine)
  • Perform scheduled cleanings and maintenances of all HVAC equipment independently
  • Assist with keeping logs of all maintenances performed on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
  • Embrace a teamwork philosophy to influence the team to meet or exceed production and quality goals
  • By the end of the first 90 days, you will be able to assist with repairs of the HVAC equipment on campus which include; exhaust fans, heat pumps, split systems, ice machines, refrigerators and air handlers

Position Requirements

This position requires the following skills and attributes:

  • High School education or equivalent experience
  • 1 year of experience maintaining equipment in a manufacturing environment
  • Must read, write and speak in English
  • Strong understanding of team concepts and a willingness to work with others
  • Knowledge in one or more of the following; electronics, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical disciplines


1+ years of experience directly related to HVAC
