We are looking for a full-time team member to join our team with consistent workweek hours of Monday through Friday on the 2nd Shift(1:00 p.m- 9:30 p.m)

Position Description

As a Driver, you will be responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities:

  • Drive various company vehicles related to specific tasks (Vehicles include: Box Trucks, Flatbeds, Pickup Trucks, Passenger vehicles, and small or large Cargo vans)
  • Ensure contents are properly secured within a gaylord, pallet, crate, or other transporting vice to safeguard against contents breaking or becoming damaged
  • Safely and efficiently handle all company goods at Applied locations
  • Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive according to the weather/road conditions
  • Comply with all DOT regulations
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections
  • Complete driver’s related logs
  • Load and unload company vehicles with the proper material handling equipment or other loading/unloading transportation vices
  • Maintain company vehicle in ordinance with safety standards, policies, and procedures
  • Transport company goods internally and externally, distribute Inter-Office company mail, and shuttle passengers around
  • Maneuver trucks into loading and unloading positions within dock areas
  • Ability to perform physical activities that require lifting, pulling, pushing, balancing, walking, and climbing

Position Requirements

This position requires the following skills and attributes:

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to work a flexible shift schedule 
  • Must meet the medical requirements of the Department of Transportation (DOT)
  • 2+ years proven experience
  • Skilled at driving large vehicles
  • Able to operate forklifts, hand trucks, pallet jacks, etc.
  • Knowledge of CALBIT, DOT, TSA, EPN and other agencies registration and practices
  • Must have excellent customer service skills
  • High School education or equivalent
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English as it relates to the job and safety regulations
  • Understanding of team concepts and a willingness to work with others
  • Ability to work with little supervision

Preferred

  • Forklift certification
