Position Description

As a Manager of License Asset Management, you will be responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities:

  • Oversee, advise and guide the License Asset Management team on the management of the software, licenses, subscriptions, and contracts within the environment 
  • Learn Applied Medica's Business Processes
  • Lead and guide the team with license/software management policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Oversee and guide the management of enterprise license agreements and contracts
  • Establish policies, procedures, responsibilities, and lead times of the team on license/software requests
  • Act as a champion for the team in the larger Applied Technology Services (ATS) organization
  • Act as a point of escalation for challenges, concerns, and ideas
  • Review and advise Applied Medical on new license/software asset purchases
  • Develop processes for ensuring 'audit readiness'
  • Provide software and licensing financial reports to Senior Leadership
  • Oversee annual license true-ups and renewals
  • Establish vendor management policies for the team, and act as primary vendor contact

Position Requirements

This position requires the following skills and attributes: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field
  • Minimum 8+ years IT experience with 3 years of ITAM experience
  • CSAM certification
  • Proven experience developing ITAM policies and procedures
  • Extensive understanding of ITAM/ITIL procedures
  • Knowledge of the software industry
  • Extensive knowledge of software asset management policies, procedures, and workflow
  • Ability to produce and maintain software license, contracts, usage, and financial reports
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Experience managing Microsoft Enterprise Agreements and Volume Licensing Agreements
  • Experience managing and negotiating enterprise software licensing agreements and contracts
