Applied Medical is pleased to announce the expansion of our Applied Learning–Field team with an immediate opening for the position of a Classroom Educator(Remote). As a Classroom Educator(Remote), you will work collaboratively with internal and field-based team members to facilitate, manage, and help oversee training programs from initial proposal to final execution.

 

In the ever-changing world of surgical approaches and technologies, it is imperative that field sales representatives have extensive knowledge about procedures and products in order to be successful. The Classroom Education team plays an integral part in developing and implementing both training programs for new team members and continuing education programs for existing team members. Our tightly knit group works in tandem with three other teams within Applied Learning– Field to create an effective, dynamic learning experience for field team members. We pride ourselves on maintaining quality under strict deadlines, offering outstanding customer service, and providing unique and progressive training solutions for our customers.

Position Description

As a Classroom Educator(Remote), you will be responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities:

  • During your first 30 days, you will spend time learning and familiarizing yourself with departmental processes, systems, and procedures
  • During the first 30 days, you will also immerse yourself in Applied Medical’s surgical solutions and products
  • In the first 60 to 90 days, you will be exposed to and assist with the presentation of training programs, including but not limited to new hire training, field leadership training and new product training
  • By the end of your first year, in collaboration with other Classroom Education team members, you will help lead training programs by hosting live sessions, presenting to groups, and implementing a training curriculum
  • On an ongoing basis, you will support and enhance existing programs and processes by collaborating with team members to ensure the successful completion of projects and tasks

Additionally, you will be responsible for the following activities:

  • Enhancing training resources such as facilitator guides, training exams and presentation content
  • Maintaining open lines of communication with Clinical Development and Field Implementation, as well as with fellow team members in Applied Learning–Field, to facilitate the development of training programs
  • Communicating with students and tracking their progress throughout the training process to provide a world-class training experience
  • Keeping detailed notes and communication logs for review in case team members request them
  • Answering questions from internal and field-based team members on subjects related to Applied Medical’s products and on the procedures in which Applied’s products are used

Position Requirements

This position requires the following skills and attributes:

  • Bachelor's degree 
  • Two to five years of professional experience working in laparoscopic medical device sales environment
  • Critical thinking skills, a thirst for learning, and a natural tendency to ask the right questions to gather information
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner
  • Strong analytical skills, the ability to make quick decisions, and meticulous attention to detail
  • The ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure
  • Exceptional organization and implementation skills
  • Outstanding customer service skills
