Position Description

As an Electrician II, you will be responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities:

  • Installing conduit, wire, and cable to NEC standards
  • Troubleshooting and repairing lighting control systems and devices
  • Designing and building machine controls using UFDs and PLCs
  • Reading blueprints and schematics to wire accordingly
  • Service and maintain 480V/208V distribution equipment

Position Requirements

This position requires the following skills and attributes:

  • California Certified General Electrician
  • 5+ years of work experience as journeyman electrician (commercial/industrial only)
  • Clean driving record
  • Completion of apprenticeship or schooling related to the trade
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds
  • Must be flexible with schedule and hours
  • Extensive knowledge of electrical code

Preferred

 The following skills and attributes are preferred:

  • Motor controls/PLC experience
  • Live equipment service experience
